Land of the Living

Land of the Living was initiated as a ministry of God Adventure in 2010 and is now a registered non-profit organization and Section 18A Public Benefit Organization operating in East London, SA.

We are a community of social entrepreneurs & mobilizers who exists to help stimulate long-term sustainable transformation within impoverished communities of the region, by enabling local stakeholders to both see and build upon what they already have. We believe that the only way to stimulate sustainable transformation within impoverished communities is to enable the people who make them up to see and build upon what they already have.

We are a blended Public Benefit Organisation & social enterprise operating in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa since 2018 – who empowers previously unemployed youth from marginalised local communities through employment, skills & character development, and entrepreneurship opportunities. This is done through primary activities of waste recycling, cleaning & maintenance of the environment, promotion of environmental education & awareness, and micro-business incubation in local communities. Our vision is sustainable, holistic community transformation (economically, socially, environmentally, spiritually) built upon and uniquely expressed through what people & communities already have within.

This charity has achieved a 7 Star rating on the Helpmore Trust Index, meeting 7 out of 10 trust criteria, including NPO registration, financial transparency, and independent governance.
