How You
Can Help
We are growing all the time and our needs are many. Equipment, even when well looked after, goes through the normal wear and tear process. In addition, we are hoping to nurture and train some of our older kids further, in order to improve their swimming skills, first aid skills and surfing skills. All of this requires time and money, but we believe that the returns to the individuals and community will be ten-fold. Any support is appreciated.

About Unstressed Surf School
In an area where poverty impacts every aspect of life, Unstressed Surf School provides a space through which local children can grow comfortable with the ocean, develop an appreciate for the environment and interact with positive role-models.
Founded in 2010 under the banner of Friends of Chintsa, Unstressed is a non-profit organization led by a team of committed volunteers who are local surfers themselves. Without organisations like Unstressed Surf School, local children, suffering under the impact of poverty, would have no way to engage with extra mural activities such as surfing. This is also an opportunity that not only alleviates the boredom of the streets but also creates a healthy, active environment of belonging. In addition, we continue to use every opportunity we have to support kids into becoming surf-lifeguards, swimming teachers and surf coaches, and by so doing, support local families. This year is our 15th birthday!
One of the our core values at Unstressed is community. Through Unstressed Surf School community is brought together, and community engagement across colour, social status and economic lines, takes place. This is one of our core values.
