About Langa Hockey Club
Langa Hockey Club was established in 1988, making it a cornerstone of the Langa community. Over the years, we have nurtured talent and promoted the sport of hockey in a vibrant township of Cape Town. The club has become a cornerstone of community building, providing not just sportsmanship but also mentorship, discipline, and leadership to countless young athletes over the years. Langa, which has faced various socio-economic challenges, is proud of its club, which serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for its residents. Many of the youth who have come through the club have gone on to represent the region at higher levels, fostering both a sense of pride and accomplishment within the community.
What They Do
Hockey Development
We provide coaching, training, and competitive playing opportunities that help athletes develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game.
Youth Mentorship
Our coaches and senior players serve as mentors, helping young people build character, discipline, leadership, and resilience both on and off the field.
Community Engagement
